The pants have a light, smooth, and soft texture to them despite not being washed. It is nice to know that when it's warm or hot outside and I need to wear pants I have an option not to wear shorts if I don't want to or if pants are better for the situation. A prime example was on father's day when I got moquito bites of my legs at Yosemite that coul've been avoided if I had pants such as these then.
