The seller was kind enough to send me a whole new set of strings - all 4, not just the E string at no cost. Having had a chance to play the violin with all four strings, I am really pretty thrilled with this instrument. The tone is crystal clear. It's probably the cheapest instrument I've ever owned, but you wouldn't be able to tell by listening. I'm enjoying this instrument immensely!
