Unlike wireless networks, which can be prone to security risks and are more expensive to implement and manage, wired connections provide greater reliability and faster data transfer rates for a LAN. Instead of going the Wi-Fi route, running a physical cable to connect your hardware to the switch is more beneficial. The JGS524 model comes from the NetGear ProSafe product series of gigabit Ethernet unmanaged switches. This high-density device includes 24 ports to give you plenty of connectivity options. Link up to 24 devices to your LAN, including desktop computers, printers, gaming consoles, servers, and storage, with each port capable of delivering data at 10 times the speed of fast Ethernet or up to 1,000 megabits per second (Mbps). At full-duplex mode, this unit is even faster, with connection speeds at up to 2,000 Mbps. Integrated with auto-switching and auto-sensing mechanisms, each port automatically detects the appropriate setting for an attached device to provide maximum performance. Coupled with the auto uplink technology, this gigabit switch instantly adjusts the type of Ethernet cable to use for the connected device, whether straight through or crossover. Compliant with several standards defined by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), this 24-port NetGear device is 802.3x-compliant, which provides support for automatic flow control to manage network traffic. Additionally, this gigabit unit has built-in quality of service, which facilitates voice and video prioritization to ensure bandwidth-intensive applications get higher priority than low-bandwidth tasks.     I have to say this was my best eBay experience so far. Very good price and listed as open box. Finalized the order on Sunday night, was delivered to my door on Tuesday. The tracking wasn’t super accurate but it was delivered so I’m not complaining. The box had slight taped area but overall decent shape for open box. Inside , the product still had protective stickers, all cables looked to be unused (still with the cable ties like from the factory). Overall no clear sign of use

    Seller sent two AudioQuest Beetles, and no cable or power supply. Listing advertised no packaging, but parts included as per retail package. When I asked about the missing parts, seller said they do not stock parts for this item, and offered a refund. A ruse for their error. I'll keep the two Beetles, which otherwise work as expected, thank you. Be advised: Grandpa does not know what he is selling.
