You can also use that feature when filming a game you play online or talking with a loved one. Once you plug other devices into the inputs, the speakers will automatically detect those devices. You can even hook up a mobile phone or a tablet. Sleeker and more compact in size, these speakers are great for small spaces. The pair won't take up too much space on your desk. You can use each speaker separately or use them together. You can even use one in a different room to extend your reach. Though each one measures just 2.5 inches, they deliver big sound and amazing quality. MediaMate models also come with a standard jack. This 0.125mm jack accommodates most styles and models of headphones. You can plug in a pair for late night gaming while the kids or your roommates sleep. The volume control that Bose included works with your headphones, too.Bose added a control dial on the front to the MediaMate model. This dial gives you full control over most features. You can use this dial to adjust the balance between connected devices. Not only can you send more volume to your computer, but you can change the balance between the two speakers. This helps you achieve the perfect balance when listening to music or while playing a game. Shielding added by Bose does a good job of reducing interference and feedback. Made from a type of magnetic material, the shielding actually blocks the signals of other electronics. Thanks to a large internal enhancer, you can also enjoy improved sound when using mono devices.Everything that you need to install these computer speakers is included. Bose provides MediaMate series users with audio cables and a power pack. That pack powers the speakers and snaps off when needed. With the included cables, you can easily hook yours up to a computer or stereo. You also get removable rubber feet that attach to the bottom of each speaker to keep it from moving. Bose even includes an instructional manual that acts like a guide. This manual walks you through the installation process and provides some troubleshooting help. You'll also find out how to change the bass level and download software updates.
