The box itself was not damaged and the items in the box were apparently insured through a third insurer , not through the USPS . Had the items been insured through USPS the box would have been marked fragile as other sellers I ve done business with have done . The seller wants a positive rating , so be it . I will not be doing business with this seller again . USPS has been requiring the buyer bring the items to a post office for an inspection when a claim is filed. I feel that is unnecessary, so I absorb the cost of the third party insurance as a benefit to my buyers. While marking boxes as "fragile" might make recipients feel better, it doesn't guarantee special handling or prevent damage during USPS transit.
