Waterproof, FM Radio, NOAA Weather and alert monitoring, and all the GMRS frequencies and Repeater capable. Wideband and Narrowband selectable so you can interface with all the FRS walkie talkies too (which get max 1/2 mile in my area). ideal for use around water sports (note: they don't float), camping and trekking. Give the kiddies the FRS radios and the more sophisticated GMRS radios to the teens and adults.

Radios look and feel great even though listed as refurbished. Two of the batteries for the radios seem to have completely died when received package but was able to contact the seller and they were able to make it right by sending out some replacments. I thought i had a radio problem with the HS4, they tried to help, it was user error by me lol. I only give 4 starts because the add said it shipped from the US, forget the state. But it shipped from Ontario Canada, UPS. I prefer USPS but it got here in 8 days. Had it shipped from the US I'd have given 5 stars. This is pre tariffs so not sure why Canada.
