Product Information
Playwright David E. Talbert has become well-known for his inspirational, Christian-themed dramas featuring primarily African-American casts. HE SAY, SHE SAY BUT WHAT DOES GOD SAY?, one of Talbert's first hits, is presented here in a recording of the stage production. In one of Detroit's toughest neighborhoods, a small church finds itself stuck next door to a nightclub frequented by hustlers, pimps, and gangsters. Both the church's congregation and the club's dangerous owners decide to try and rid the neighborhood of the other, leading to uncertainty and a series of tense confrontations. HE SAY, SHE SAY is part of the inspirational Soul Theatre series, and was even adapted as a short-lived television series, named GOOD NEWS.
