The aluminum was a little scratched but I'm sure the scratches were on the original piece of aluminum and I know it will have zero effect on the functionality. Your not gonna see those scratches or it'll face outward and there is going to be many more of them. I plan on using quality rtv plus a gasket, so I'm not concerned with leakage.
