Synopsis
For Introduction to Computer Science courses. Surveys the breadth of computer science--with the depth needed to explore concepts Computer Science: An Overview is written for students of computer science as well as students from other disciplines. Its broad coverage and clear exposition are accessible to students from all backgrounds, encouraging a practical and realistic understanding of the subject. Written to provide students with a bottom-up, concrete-to-abstract foundation, this broad background exposes beginning computer science students to the breadth of the subject in which they are planning to major, and students from other disciplines to what they need to relate to the technical society in which they live. Individual chapters are independent, and can be covered in an order that suits instructor course needs with selected content marked as optional for the introductory course. With a new full-color design, each chapter in the 13th Edition has seen revisions, updates, and corrections from the previous editions. The text also continues to use Python to provide programming tools for exploration and experimentation. More than 1,000 questions and exercises, Chapter Review Problems, and Social Issues questions reinforce core concepts. The text's Companion Website www.pearsonhighered.com/brookshear extends resources to enhance the course., For the Introduction to Computer Science course. A broad exploration of computer science-with the depth needed to understand concepts Computer Science: An Overview provides a bottom-up, concrete-to-abstract foundation that students can build upon to see the relevance and interrelationships of future computer science courses. Its comprehensive coverage and clear language are accessible to students from all backgrounds, encouraging a practical and realistic understanding. More than 1,000 questions and exercises, Chapter Review Problems, and Social Issues questions reinforce core concepts. The 13th Edition continues its focus on Python to provide programming tools for exploration and experimentation. A new full-color design reflects the use of color in most modern programming interfaces to aid the programmer's understanding of code. Syntax coloring is now used more effectively for clarifying code and pseudocode segments in the text, and many figures and diagrams are now rendered more descriptively.

- 8***r (7)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Último añoCompra verificadaI was searching for this book for a while and was appalled at the cost. I came across this seller and I was happy with the price from the seller. The seller messaged to let me know that this was the global version before it was actually shipped. That, I appreciated so much. My book arrived in perfect condition, looks great. The packaging was secure and the book, brand new. This is of great quality both in the service and the book. I will definitely use this seller again. Excellent!Fundamentals of Human Resource Management 5th Global Edition (#174750105351)
- b***v (394)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaBook sent from S.E. Asia not USA ,and arrived damaged. Awful communications ranging from ‘it’s just a wrinkle, not actual damage’, through to the offer of a partial refund if I pay return postage!! Seller admitted via email that a lot of their ‘new’ stock is actually damaged and so they couldn’t send a new condition item in replacement. Had to resort to seeking eBay intervention to get a refund some 3 weeks later. Absolute scammers - be warned - they will NOT offer any help with issues.
