The packaging was easy to open, and a low-profile bracket is provided. If you want to use it outside of a server environment, you'll need to buy 8654 8i to U.2 or similar and some breakout boards if you want to use it for off-the-shelf M.2 NVMe SSDs. I tried to use an 8654 8i pass-through to those cheap dual M.2 M-Key breakout boards, but only one NVMe would show up at a time. Pays to do your research, I guess.

Turns out I needed a standard nvme cable because the broadcom cables I had use different signaling. He sells the cable I needed and I endedup ordering it. Problem solved. Great seller. Saved in my favorites!

He also ships quickly, and packages everything very well. As a bonus, he also has a YouTube channel covering a lot of the equipment he sells. I've purchased two of these SFF-8643 to 4x SFF-8482 cables, as well as a HBA card from him. All work flawlessly, shipped quickly, looked brand new, and came packaged better than the vast majority of other items I've ordered from other sellers.

It will be a while before I get to actually test the product, but the item was delivered quickly and as described. I would like to stress that the item looks nearly brand new. Not a trace of dust on it and it was well packaged for delivery. Seller took the time to refund me a partial shipping amount as I also ordered cables. Cables seem to be of good quality as well. Looking forward to expanding my home server!
