It tamed the pre amp fizz and and lets me crank up the power amp crunch and sustain at any volume. Like any passive resistance attenuator it noticeably cuts the high frequencies. in my case this worked out great as it is a very bright (ice pick) amp. To my surprise the noise and hiss is much lower and the tone knobs have a more usefull range so I'm completely happy with it. Z String Music shipped it quick and it arrived in new condition.
