We use DVDs in our portable player whether in the car or on trips the kids love the ability to play what they want rewind fast forward etc. Same things kids of the 90's loved no wifi necessary. Funny impromptu reenactments by the camp fire by the 90's kids to sleep overs to cross country trips. Nothing funnier then seeing a bunch of adults glued to the screen shushing you unwittingly unplugged.
