The difference between the two pens was not astronomical I don't think, at least the PW517 pen worked well enough for me originally, but I think that this pen is probably the best pen drawing experience I've had between the Huion pens I've used. It was at least somewhat noticeably better than the PW517, which was what I was looking for.
