AUTHOR: An industrial personnel specialist by profession, Mark Clifton (1906 63) drew upon his extensive experience in conducting interviews to add psychological depth to his inventive science-fiction stories. Co-winner of the second Hugo Award for best novel, he was also awarded the 2010 Cordwainer Smith Rediscovery Award, which recognises underread science-fiction and fantasy authors.
