It comes new flat packed in one of those parcel bags and looks exactly as advertised appearance wise. I've had to mod it a bit to space out the shoulder straps, fix the top pouch, and add a chest strap because I've been using it to get groceries and the weight was starting to break the stitches. The extra jank parts are from one of the ruined 80L bags I got for around $20 after tax.

We got 4 to fill as "3 day sustainment" bags, kind of a grab and go all in one type survival for 3 days for one person. I don't think these packs would stand up to vigorous back packing but they have their place. These maybe seconds because two of ours have stitching that runs off track into other stitching and back on track again. Good for a large go bag in my opinion.
