Fred Astaire is trying to turn chorus girl Judy Garland into a star in order to show up his former partner Ann Miller in this release. All of the songs were written by Irving Berlin with the screenplay by Sidney Sheldon and the original story by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett.
