Mushihimesama Futari, also known as Bug Princess Duo, Ver 1.5 is an updated version of the popular Cave Xbox 360 video game. This Japanese-only release was limited in quantity and features the original text, characters, and dialogue. Join the Goddess Reco and young Palm on an action-packed adventure that picks up right where the original story ended. After the death of the God Aki, his mother, Larsa, begins to deteriorate mentally. The distraught woman manipulates her other 9-year-old son Palm into traveling through the dangerous Shinju Forest to retrieve the Koju Goddess Reco. Palm arrives and weaves a tale of deadly Koju beetles and other giant bugs attacking his village. Reco and Palm make their way through the dangerous Shinju Forest to save the village of Utakata to battle Larsa.Considered one of the most impressive 2D shooter games, Mushihimesama Futari treats players to impressive artwork and graphics with a detailed and deep storyline. The beautiful music composed by arcade musician Manabu Namiki is still held in high regard. Mushihimesama Futari Ver 1.5 features different game modes: Original Mode, Maniac Mode, Ultra Mode, and the exclusive Arrange Mode. Each mode is unlocked at the start of the game and features increasing difficulty levels. Take on the Bug Princess alone as Reco, or team up with friends in this multiplayer adventure. The multiplayer feature is great for a fun night with friends casually gaming or hardcore gaming session with other Koju hunters. Keep things intimate and have fun saving the world together. Considered a bullet hell video game, Mushihimesama Futari pits players against a barrage of enemy forces and enemy fire. In each stage, players will have to take on swarms of evil giant bugs and enemy fighters and tackle both a mid-level boss and a big boss. The true challenge in the bullet hell titles is figuring out bullet and enemy patterns to stay alive. This offshoot of the general shooter gaming genre has remained popular long after its introduction. Fight your way through each stage shot by shot, collecting gems from defeated enemies to fill your counter. The player’s gem counter will change the color type from green to blue every 2,000 gems, requiring use of different weapons. As the counter switches colors, only a shot from the right weapon will count. After each stage, each counter will reset to zero. With updated version 1.5, many positive changes were made, such as modified bullet patterns, item changes, and a few game system and stage content changes. These changes were incorporated to make them accessible to novice players and hardcore gamers alike.While it has been possible to grab copies of Mushihimesama Futari issued from Cave in the past, for collectors and hardcore gamers, there is nothing like owning a piece of actual gaming history imported directly from Japan. This is why Mushihimesama fans have kept the steam for officially released game versions alive for years now. This is a great chance to complete that collection or to start a new one.

The figure itself was in immaculate condition and was “used” so the box issue was already a bit expected. For a collector item the value is great and the quality of the figure is pristine, and looks lovely :) The seller was truly great to work with, we had to chat about my shipping situation, they were fast and easy to communicate w/ and we appeciate them :)
