I can say 100% that it was not like that when it was shipped, we had brand new units which were pulled out of the manufacturer's boxes before they were even placed on the retail shelves. Sometimes workers might cut into the box and cause something like this, but not for this units. It would have had to have been something that happened during shipping which means it is covered under insurance - please message us and we can help with an insurance claim and get you a refund! Thank you

Seller shipped in packaged box and not in a brown carboard box to hide contents or protect the Lego box if you might have expected to resell the box in the future. Just FYI that I did not expect that. Thank you for the feedback. This item doesn't actually include the original box - it is only for the bags of Lego pieces and instructions with the mini figures removed. Since the original box is so large, that is why we don't include it. We shipped in a different box that we had which just happened to be Lego, but it was not the box for this item. Hope that makes sense. We do have other listings for the full set in the original box at a slightly higher price. Thank you!
