The item then arrived and so I contacted the seller to explain the situation and say that I would be happy to pay for the item again. So the item is certainly good value and it was just that it was significantly delayed by the postal system.

It also came with a cheap, used adapter which I definitely wouldn’t have trusted. Wasn’t “new” as I checked the warranty on Apple’s site and it had expired so definitely not worth the £85 at all. Seller didn’t respond to any of my messages but thankfully the ebay process meant I was able to submit a return request and get refunded. Purchased from Apple directly for £14 more instead.
