The events in Operation Flashpoint: Resistance take place several years prior to those of Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. Special Forces operative Victor Troska fights his way through five stand alone single player missions, a 20-mission campaign, and nine multiplayer challenges as he defends his 100-square kilometer home Nogovo Island from a Soviet invasion. Specific gameplay enhancements offered in this expansion include carrying over equipment, weapons and soldiers from mission to mission, collecting and utilizing enemy weapons, resource management that spans the entire campaign, improved texture and character details, smoother environments, and added special effects.
