Product Information

The Discovery Channel did a favor for the reality TV genre when it introduced the Teutel family, injecting it with new life and a volatile appeal. The Teutels own Orange County Choppers--that's New York, not California--and the patriarch, Paul Sr., runs the business with a loud, commanding presence and a temper that threatens to flare up at any moment. The drama revolves around this possiblillity of explosion as the guys endeavor to create their massive machines while constrained by a deadline; under the gun, they manage to build elaborate, innovative, highly-customized choppers that resemble nothing so much as sculpture on wheels. Paul Jr. is the creative mind behind his father's bluster, and both are intimidating to behold, epitomizing the chopper lifestyle in every respect. In the first season, Mikey gets a chance to build his own bike, master fabricator Cody collaborates on his design with Paul Sr., and the Teutels spend quality time together, Teutel-style. Episodes include "Black Widow I & 2," "Daytona Bike Week," and "Commanche 1, 2, & 3."

    I'm leaving a positive review because it shipped fast & was packaged suitably. Although the cost was fair, the description was inadequate. Had it said it was a reprint of just the travel portion (a paid advertorial) of the magazine pictured, I wouldn't have even considered purchasing it. I will learn from this & hopefully the seller will too, without this hurting his feedback average, which I don't want to do because he probably just wasn't familiar with the magazine & failed to recognize.
