The condition was listed as "New, open box...This is an unused item", which is not accurate. The glasses had very prominent eyebrow and nose smudges, so they'd definitely been used before. But once I cleaned off the smudges, I'd certainly describe the glasses as "like new", and I still got them for a reasonable price, so I'm still happy with the purchase.
