This collection is a DVD compilation of the seven original EL HAZARD OVAs as well as the four EL HAZARD OVA 2 episodes. The series follows Makoto Mizuhara, an ordinary Japanese high school student, who along with a couple of friends, makes an incredible journey into a fantastic world. The catalyst for this journey is Katsuhiko Jinnai, a extraordinary high school student, who believes that Makoto is his destined rival, and hatches plot after plot against him. Makoto's never given Jinnai any reason to believe this, but, one evening, Jinnai decides to lure him to the school yard for his own diabolical reasons anyway. Once at the school yard, Makoto encounters a mysterious woman who shows him the way to El-Hazard, the Magnificent World. Swayed by the vision of this world, Makoto and several others venture into this fantastic new land. Featuring astounding animation and production values, an incredibly imaginative universe filled with bizarre characters, and an involving story, EL HAZARD is one of the most memorable epic fantasy animés ever produced.
