Synopsis
Detailed, highly illustrated history of the M48 Patton main battle tank. The M48 Patton main battle tank was one of the most successful and longest-serving designs produced in the United States, and it is a popular subject with tank modelers and enthusiasts. When it came into service in 1949 it represented a significant advance on the Sherman and M47 which it replaced, and it formed the backbone of American armored forces during the early years of the Cold War. It also saw combat in Vietnam, during the Indo-Pakistan wars and in the Middle East, in particular during the Iran-Iraq War. So it is an fascinating subject for this volume in the TankCraft series.Archive photos of the M48 in service and extensively researched color profile illustrations depict the tank throughout its operational life. A large part of the book showcases available model kits and aftermarket products, complemented by a gallery of beautifully constructed and painted models in various scales. Technical details as well as modifications introduced during production and in the field are also examined and provide everything the modeler needs to recreate an accurate representation of the M48., The M48 Patton main battle tank was one of the most successful and longest-serving designs produced in the United States, and it is a popular subject with tank modellers and enthusiasts.

I've been a customer at For The Historian's bookstore in Gettysburg many times but this was my first eBay purchase from them. The magazine was brand new, as described, and the shipping cost was reasonable. They shipped the magazine promptly and it was very well packed in a cardboard sleeve. I'll definitely buy from this seller again.

Thanks for your help in making the big decision! Better than described and would buy from again! Shipping and packaging was a spot on. I valued his support in helping me in making my decision. In comparison to all that was available this was the best value. Great communication and went the extra yard to help satisfy his customer. An excellent seller to the eBay community...thanks again! Cheers

I love For the Historian Bookstore, both the actual shop and the ebay site. The item shipped on time, and was exactly as described. It was packaged in a way to protect the item, especially since it was made out of paper. I found this to be a good value, because it was a used book. I highly recommend this seller to everyone, and would definitely use them again.
