The blade is about 1/2 inch wide. The edge is not aligned with the shaft so the user must twist their wrist to get the knife to go into the ground aligned with a comfortable hand position. These tools are suitable for a child.

As soon as they got notified it shipped they refunded me! I really appreciated that!! Thank you.
