The Premier has better cork, better hardware, a better rod tube, a lighter blank, and faster, crisper action than the Extreme -- it's an amazing fly rod for the price. I fly fished for 30 years before I ever owned a fly rod even close to this good, and I'm blown away that you can get a rod like this now for 60 bucks.
