Nach dem Monumentum Ancyranum, Apolloniense und Antiochenum. Die philosophischen, biographischen und poetischen Werke des Kaisers Augustus sind verloren. Erhalten ist nur sein Rechenschaftsbericht, der einst auf Bronzetafeln vor seinem Mausoleum in Rom aufgestellt war. Eine Abschrift des Originals, von dem keinerlei Reste uberliefert sind, wurde in Ancyra (dem heutigen Ankara) gefunden, weshalb die Inschrift als Monumentum Ancyranum bezeichnet wird. Eine weitere lateinische Kopie - das Monumentum Antiochenum - und eine griechische UEbersetzung - das Monumentum Apolloniense - sind in Bruchstucken erhalten. Beide UEberlieferungen, die lateinische und die griechische, sind hier dem deutschen Text gegenubergestellt. Eine grosse Anzahl antiker Zeugnisse - Zitate aus der Literatur, Inschriften, Munzlegenden -, die ebenfalls aufgenommen wurden, geben die Moeglichkeit des unmittelbaren Vergleichs mit der Paralleluberlieferung. Mit Einfuhrung, Erlauterungen, Literaturhinweisen und Register.

    The book was sent well packed and arrived in good condition. The seller was extremely supportive and when l explained that this book did not contain the content that l was looking for l was given a refund which happened very quickly and l offered to send the book back but the seller told me to keep it which l thought was very generous of the seller.     The item was promptly dispatched in time frame and was in very high quality condition when received. The recipient's name was unfortunately omitted although the address was correct. Very professionally packaged to ensure pristine condition of item. Wish the seller would communicate and reply more frequently to messages if possible on eBay. Otherwise good service overall. I recommend buying from The Nile for competitive prices.
