Additional InformationThe young Dutch artist Meneer Chrome (Ewan McGregor) has been summoned to a secluded country estate where the wealthy Thomas Smithers (Pete Postlethwaite) has commissioned an extravagant garden to be created. The instructions for its creation come from the evil Fitzmaurice (Richard E. Grant), whose true aim is to destroy Smithers financially with the garden, and steal away his beautiful wife, Juliana (Greta Scacchi). Juliana has different ideas, however, as she herself lusts after the young architect. To make matters more complicated, Chrome begins to fall in love with Thomas and Juliana's disturbed yet beautiful daughter, Thea (Carmen Chaplin).
