Lost for two decades, the recent rediscovery of Landscape Tantrums, the first attempt at recording the music that would become The Mars Volta's De-Loused in the Comatorium, revealed an important and hitherto missing chapter in the group's evolution. Self-recorded by Omar (assisted by Jon DeBaun) at Burbank's Mad Dog Studios within a head-spinning four days, Landscape Tantrums captures De-Loused in somewhat embryonic form, though much of what would make The Mars Volta's debut album such an electrifying, sublime experience was already in place: the fearless invention, the fusion of futurist rock elements and traditions from outside of the rock orthodoxy, the sense of virtuosity working in service of emotional effect.

    A brand new sealed 3 CD box set was purchased on 9-14, shipped on 9-15, and delivered by USPS Media Mail on 9-19. Item received was new as described and pictured in the listing and was professionally packaged. Set was wrapped in a layer of thick plastic and was secured between two pieces of cardboard. Then cardboard and contents were completely covered in a layer of bubblewrap before being placed inside a plastic padded envelope. Care in packing, price, & fast shipping made for a great purchase.

    As others have said the packaging job Toad Hall does is superb. The items I ordered were all incredible quality. I had high expectations from the photos and those expectations were exceeded. Everything shown and described was present. Much of it wrapped as well. The items arrived quickly. I had ordered several items at the same time and they refunded me on shipping before I had a chance to request it. If Toad Hall has what you are looking for buy it from them. You will not be disappointed.
