The Kyocera DuraXT E4277 is a simple and easy-to-use flip phone designed for people who seek the user-friendliness of a standard mobile device. Designed for Sprint service, it lets you activate it whenever you want because of its unlocked status. Covered in a scratch-resistant, rubberized casing that is easy to grip even when wearing gloves, you will always have the Kyocera DuraXT E4277 on hand when you need it.This black handheld device measures 4 inches by 2.11 inches and has a depth of 1.12 inches when closed, so it can easily fit into your pocket. At just 5.3 ounces, the DuraXT is easy to hold. It has a dedicated numeric keypad with soft keys and a D-pad to make navigating the screen quick and easy. The display is 2 inches and has a pixel resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The display on the front of the phone is 1 inch and has a 96 x 64 pixel resolution. This front display shows the time, any new messages, and the battery status. This rugged phone is MIL-STD-810 certified, meaning it adheres to military standards and is resistant to water, shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, and high humidity levels.The hardware on this Kyocera DuraXT cellphone includes a Qualcomm QSC6085 system chip. It does support storage expansion with a microSD or a microSDHC card. The 1360 mAh replaceable lithium-ion battery provides up to 8 hours of talk time, so you can expect this phone to get you through the day. A loudspeaker complete with noise-canceling technology lets you hear your calls clearly. A headphone jack also allows you to plug in a headset and talk if you are working in a noisy area. The Kyocera DuraXT also has a silent mode and vibration notification so that you can know when you have incoming calls without interrupting a meeting. One of the great features of the Kyocera DuraXT is the Sprint Direct Connect service that uses 3G internet speeds to make push-to-talk calls. You can send audio alerts to up to 20 Nextel iDen Subscribers or use the Sprint Direct Connect
