Synopsis
Aimed at beginners and advanced users alike, this book and CD-ROM package seeks to provide the necessary design toolkit to enable users to send and receive radio signals. The software calculates the critical lengths and other parameters of the antennas in the book by having the user select the antenna type and set the frequency. The main menu screen is in the form of tabs, one for each chapter of the book plus other topics. Also included is a Windows freeware package from the US Government Voice of America organization, VOACAP, which is an HF propagation predictor. The CD also holds a directory providing offers from world suppliers of equipment and services.
