ON NOVEMBER 15,2008, DANNY NOVA HEADLINED NEW YORK CITY'S LEGENDARY CARNEGIE HALL. Receiving smashing reviews and ongoing press about 'The emerging artist who took on CARNEGIE HALL with great success!' Danny Nova made musical history and it is certain that the event will be talked about for many years to come. Danny Nova's 'Crushing The Stone,' his world solo debut CD was released on September 24, 2008. All instrumentation on 'Crushing The Stone,' was played by Nova except for cello which was played by Peter Lewy and piano/keyboards which were played by Scott Treibitz. The CD was recorded at The Barbershop Studios, Lake Hopatcong, NJ. Studio engineers were Michael Ferretti, Jason Corsaro and assistant engineer Dante Portella. 'Grammy Award' winner engineer Tony Black completed the mix. Danny Nova is a world-class vocalist whose music-making abilities cannot be denied. As a songwriter, Nova is admired for his fine blending of lyrical content with melodic and flowing musical compositions. Peer songwriters consider his lyrical content as seasoned, poised, sensitive and profound with a thin lining of obscurity. With his four-plus octave vocal range, hitting full voice E notes above high C, this raspy-voiced, acoustic artist would turn the heads of many famed vocalists such as Steve Perry, Ian Gillian, Robert Plant, Rod Stewart, Joe Turner and Steven Tyler. Recipient of a 2006 Talent in Motion Magazine 'TIMMY AWARD' for 'Singer Of The Year,' Nova also received three 2005 Honorable mentions from Billboard Magazine. His original composition, 'Lay My Guns Down,' placed in the Top 500 songs in the Billboard World Songwriting Contest and Nova's 'Crystal Clear' and 'Calamity Heart' placed in the Top 1500. In addition, 'Lay My Guns Down' advanced to the third round of judging for the 2005 International Songwriting Competition. In June of 2006, TV producers at Time/Warner CTV, approached Nova with the concept of starring in a new TV series, called 'Musical Poets In Motion.' The show's concept is to seek qualified, undiscovered up-and-coming artists to capture their rise to national and international acclaim. Nova is captured performing in adventure-like settings such as a concert on a stage boat in the middle of Lake Hopatcong, NJ for 2,500 spectators who were on 300 boats, a walking performance on the Seaside Heights, NJ Boardwalk, a performance under the archway of NYC's Washington Square Park and a performance at an entertainment industry's 4th of July party and fireworks. In Feb 2007, Nova traveled to London to shoot footage for 'Musical Poets In Motion' and for his latest song touted to be a London favorite entitle 'London.' Footage being shot at notable places such as Big Ben, Buckingham Place, The Tower Bridge, Abby Road Studios, Camden Town, The Beatles Store, etc., will prove to be entertaining, informative and much more. Instrumentation Danny Nova -Vocals, Guitars, Piano, Harmonica and Flute The joining of acoustic guitars, piano, cellos, flute, harmonica, bass and percussion, along with powerful lead vocals that have distinguishable melodies throughout, places his music into the 'Acoustic Rock' genre.     Item was as advertised & arrived well packaged. As many other reviewers stated, it took a week to get tracking information, then 6 more days before the shipping company (DHL, in this case) received the item, and then just one day to be delivered. The listing estimated delivery between 3-8 days; it took 14. No correspondence in the meantime. I'd checked the seller's feedback before ordering, however, so I expected it. If you can wait a couple weeks to receive your order, this seller is fine.
