The Luminox corporation is widely known for its focus on durability and reliability in their accessories and gear. The Luminox SXC GMT 5127 is a timepiece from the Luminox Space series, developed for a private spaceflight company. It features a sturdy construction of carbon and reinforced stainless steel capable of withstanding upward of 250 psi. This men’s GMT watch has contrasting red, blue, and gray hands for easy reading. It comes equipped with tritium night vision tubes for enhanced nighttime visibility and use in dark environments. The watch is also water-resistant up to 660 feet (220 meters), allowing for use in recreational swimming and water sports. The Luminox GMT Men’s 5127 possesses Always Visible Technology, an innovation using high-quality tritium inserts for long-term luminescence. The tritium is kept inside special glass capsules within the watch to prevent loss of energy to atmosphere. This provides high visibility even in poor weather conditions and dimly lit environments such as caves. Luminox watches use these borosilicate glass capsules to offer constant illumination for up to 25 years, even in total darkness. The light tubes act as their own gas lamps, so they don’t require outside sources of light to operate. They are safe for humans and environmentally friendly. The SXC Space series measures time with the use of specially calibrated Swiss Ronda 515 quartz crystals for accurate timekeeping. By measuring small oscillations in crystals inside the watch, Luminox watches keep precise time to within six-millionths of a second. All GMT-rated models come with an operational GMT tracking option for use across time zones. This makes the watch ideal for use by pilots, astronauts, and anyone traveling for vacation. The watch dial features hardened mineral glass beneath an anti-reflective overlay. Luminox men’s watches feature carbon frames and stainless steel bodies for maximum toughness and durability. The ergonomic design and strap material promote comfort for extended wear. The black polycarbonate case is sleek and lightweight, and the carbon reinforced polymers provide added durability. The non-reflective sapphire glass coating and dark appearance help provide contrast with the bright tritium inserts for improved visibility. Luminox brand watch bands are made from durable synthetic fabrics strengthened with black carbon fiber materials. Due to this fact, the strap is able to deliver the same robust, long-lasting quality as the watch itself. The 45mm steel-brushed case and hardened sapphire glass resist breakage under force, ensuring continued functionality after exposure to extreme pressure. Luminox’s 5127 watches for men are accessories that are designed for the adventurous.
