I hand wash,my socks ,no strong detergent needed, lay them on cardboard to wick a way water ,then hang them up to air ,they can be dry in day at ambient temperature. Bought 4 pairs comfortable, warm ,and hard wearing,economical to maintain.

Whilst they haven't kept my feet quite as warm as everything I've read about alpaca wool socks implied they would, they do help and as long as I wear a second pair of socks over these, I can keep my toes pretty toasty. ;-)
