The quality of it is first class. The base/handle is heavier than my original one but good quality, if I drop it in the sink it could chip, my last one was plastic so no problem. The bristles are very soft, I feel it doesn't lather as much as my cheaper stiffer bristles but it still lathers enough just using a bar of soap, maybe I'm being to gentle with it. It's still a top class brush
