USPS is definitely doing a great job, and I'm truly grateful for their hard work. That said, in this particular case, most of the credit goes to the laws of physics. The weight of the item, the weight of the packing paper, and the structural properties of that paper were all carefully considered to ensure there was virtually no chance of breakage during transit.
