Ben Wheatley's A FIELD IN ENGLAND is a psychedelic, genre-bending trip set in Civil War era England. A group of deserters are taken captive by a pair of treasure-hunting alchemists, and are forced to help them search the mushroom-laden fields. Paranoia, hallucinations and madness ensues, when the men make the mistake of harvesting the innocent-looking mushrooms for a much needed meal.
