While many two-dimensional racing games revolve around cars, the 1985 game "Excitebike" for the Nintendo Entertainment System puts the player on the seat of a motocross bike, and takes the racing off-road. Like real motocross tracks, the game's tracks feature jumps and obstacles. There are three different modes of gameplay available, which allows players to customize their experience. In mode A, players race solo and attempt to beat their own time. Mode B is great for players who want a little more competition, because it allows them to race against the computer.
