Synopsis
In March 2011, The Sunday Times ran an article on the discovery of a mysterious cache of palm-sized, ring-bound books made of lead. These lead codices, as they have become known, contain mysterious symbols and inscriptions. One tablet in particular features a portrait of Jesus and has preserved the seven seals that would have bound it together along its left-hand side. David and Jennifer Elkington photographed the books, brought samples to the UK for analysis, and assembled a team of eminent scholars to study them. At the same time, the books were quickly becoming an international phenomenon, the Israelis and Jordanians began a very public dispute over the location of the site where they were discovered. Convinced that the codices are the earliest Christian documents ever found, the Elkingtons put their reputations on the line as they raced to authenticate the find amidst an array of vested interests which sought to suppress them. In their quest to crack the code, the Elkingtons have been subjected to personal threat but they have continued the fight to ensure the world understands the importance of the codices, which may well pre-date the New Testament. Their significance in our understanding of early Christianity cannot be underestimated. ", In March 2011, The Sunday Times ran an article on the discovery of a mysterious cache of palm-sized, ring-bound books made of engraved lead plates that appeared to have a connection with the Kabbalah. Several "experts" stepped forward to claim the lead codices to be forgeries. Almost from the beginning, Egyptologist David Elkington and his wife Jennifer were brought in as religious experts to help the book's owner understand their message better. At the same time, the books were quickly becoming an international hot potato as the Israelis and Jordanians began a very public dispute over the location of the site where they were discovered. Convinced that the codices were not fakes, but in all likelihood the earliest Christian documents ever found, the Elkingtons put their reputations on the line as they raced to authenticate the find amidst an array of vested interests which sought to suppress them. Thought to be the earliest Christian writings ever discovered, the Lead Codices can be dated to 30-40 AD - prior to the New Testament and after the Death of Jesus.

Friendly communication. Lightning fast shipping. And the DVD itself was as described--brand new and still in its original shrink wrap. I'm so grateful to have such a beautiful copy of this disc, thanks to this awesome seller! Thank you so much!!
- l***5 (497)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Mes pasadoCompra verificadaBook arrived in excellent condition, looked new. It was not the edition pictured in the listing. Since I was buying it to complete a collection, I was looking for the same edition to match the others in the series. Seller promptly responded & refunded, so no complaint about the seller. This is not the first seller I've bought from that used a stock photo that didn't match the edition of the listing. I don't mind a stock photo, but wish booksellers would use the stock photo that matches.

All arrived in perfect condition—exactly as described, securely packaged, and shipped quickly. Discs and cases looked brand new, like they'd barely been touched. Great seller, great value, and zero issues from start to finish. Would definitely buy from again. Highly recommended!
