Super Slam Dunk is a professional-style basketball game without an NBA license for real teams and players. Instead, the title's 22 teams are identified by city name. Legendary star Magic Johnson offers onscreen advice and tips while broadcaster Chick Hearn voices the play-by-play commentary. The defining aspect of Super Slam Dunk is its visual approach. Instead of featuring a traditional horizontal display, the court is viewed from a perspective looking toward the basket. Changing possession will rotate the camera 360° until the basket is once again in the center of the screen. Three play modes include Exhibition, Playoff, and All-Star, with progress throughout the playoffs resumed via passwords.
