With this high-definition stereo audio recorder, you can record live and use on-location applications. Once a session is recorded, it is instantly available to DAWs with its built-in high-speed FireWire computer connection. For easy transfer, this Tascam recorder has an SMPTE timecode input for specific synchronization to external devices. You can sync your music while recording or in playback mode based on your preferences and musical visions.The HDP2 is capable of capturing sound in mono or manual mode with its four channels for great recordings. It has four XLR/TRS inputs with effective phantom power controls and an omnidirectional mic. You can plug in musical accessories like a microphone so that you can record many different layers of audio. The HD-P2 has a retake feature that allows you to re-record easily without a manual rewind, which saves you time and prevents distraction. You can delete the last track and set it up to re-record with a single button. The Tascam HD-P2 automatically and continually saves your files to protect against accidental data loss.This Tascam device is designed to be a convenient size for easy transportation. Measuring 10.25 inches wide, 7.75 inches deep, and 2.5 inches high, it weighs less than 2 pounds. You can take it wherever you go. Its design is efficient, and the top panel contains different menu configurations with a backlit LCD display. The HD-P2 records audio in stereo quality and is ideal for live concerts or even film productions. It contains ancillary connectors and analog audio inputs and outputs as well as a compact flash card slot. After each session, you can transfer data using DAW software so that you can listen to and edit each file.This device stands out because of its pre-record buffer that allows for 10 seconds of memory with base sample rates. Its longitudinal timecode (LTC) accepts 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97 and 30 frames per second with drop and non-drop frame versions. You can select what mode and settings work best for your audio needs with ease. With this device, you can monitor sound with the 20dB pad with loud noises or the low-cut switch for reducing unwanted noises. These recorders are easy to travel with and make a valuable addition to any project.
