The Sirui T-2205X carbon fiber camera tripod delivers lightweight portability without sacrificing stability. Featuring sturdy carbon fiber construction, an aluminum chassis, five-sectioned spring-loaded legs, spiked feet, and a removable, interchangeable center column, this is one tripod you won’t want to be without. The Sirui T-2205X carbon fiber camera tripod is constructed from carbon fiber, a strong, lightweight fiber-reinforced material. This gives the Sirui 2205X the ability to support up to 26.5 pounds, while itself weighing only 2.6 pounds. The forged aluminum chassis ensures durability without detracting from the tripod’s overall lightweight design. The Sirui T-2205X’s headless design keeps it lightweight, but the adaptable design allows for attaching a ball head to the tripod without sacrificing portability. The legs on the Sirui T-2205X carbon fiber camera tripod are five-sectioned. Each section has a rubberized-grip lock that locks and unlocks in a half-turn. This allows you to extend or retract each section using only one hand, so you can change the tripod’s height in a matter of moments. With its legs at their widest angle, the Sirui T-2205X can hold cameras only 5.3 inches from the surface they’re standing on. The legs also fold up a full 180 degrees, and are controlled with spring-loaded quick-release locks, which help to reduce the risk of splaying when applying weight to the tripod. Fully extended, the tripod reaches a maximum height of 56.9 inches, while folded down it is a mere 14.6 inches long, making it compact enough for a carry-on bag or camera backpack. Two of the tripod’s legs have foam grips for easier handling with wet or cold hands. The rubberized feet contain retractable spikes that are controlled by twisting the feet, helping the tripod to remain stable in a variety of outdoor conditions. The central column has a hanging hook at the bottom allowing you to attach a weight for added stability.
