Notes
The Symphonie Fantastique was Hector Berlioz's first great work and it remains his best known. With it's first performance at the Paris Conservatoire on 5th December 1830 he sprang into the forefront of Romantic music, recognizable at once as a composer of powerful imagination whose ideas were new and intense enough to make the era of Beethoven and Napoleon recede rapidly into the past. The Orchestre National de France conducted by Leonard Bernstein is a majestic performance of this beloved piece of music. Mastered from the original Master Tapes from the Abbey Road Studios this extended resolution CD (XRCD24) from JVC brings the listener higher fidelity and improved audio quality by enhancing the process of mastering and manufacturing compact discs. This XRCD24 is compatible with all CD players.

    I ordered a hard to find cd of Rachmaninoff's complete preludes. The item was shipped soon after, and arrived in several days. It was packaged very securely in bubble wrap, cardboard on both sides, and a typical mailer. It appears to be a new item with the shrink wrap undisturbed. The cd case, booklet. and program list are intact. The disc itself appears flawless. Everything was as described, at a very good price!

    Arrived at a reasonable time considering what is happening with the USPS. The packaging was exceptional with protective cardboard. The item was EXACTLY as described & there was no indication that the item was a counterfeit. The value was priceless to have the pleasure of appreciating the golden oldies of yesteryear despite the language barrier! It was a great joy to have discovered such fine artist. Although I do not understand the lyrics I can feel this artist’s songs with my ❤️ & soul👍
