The item had a tough gloss finish and exhibits appealing would grain details. Draws were lined with soft material which removed any rattling of the pieces when in their individual compartments.The product is well thought out and convenient to use and appears to have no equal in the UK market place.It is quite heavy but very solid and robust.This supplier appears to carry the greatest number of resin chess set designs seen.

The shipping was prompt, but I was surprised to see the package with no wrapping of any sort. It arrived in the original box with the shipping label on the front. As a result, the box was torn and a little beat up. Given it was advertised as new, the condition of the box, probably because of the way it was shipped, does not support that claim.
