It ended up being a failed solenoid coil on the icemaker water fill valve. I did not suspect it since I had replaced it 6 mo. or so ago as well when the other solenoid suppling water to the door dispenser quit opening. I ordered another replacement icemaker from another merchant at a significantly greater price and when it didn't work as well, began looking or the problem and found a shorted reading on the coil. Great Seller!

The replacement ice maker has a small issue with the design when adding the additional wiring harness it causes the ice tray not to shut all the way. This happens because the square socket on the harness is trapped between the ice tray and the back of the freezer.

After opening the box I noticed the item was a bit different in appearance that the OEM part utilizing the manufacturers number for which this part was made. I'm hoping it won't affect the installation or operation.

They tried to send me another one and also didn’t work not sure why. They were both new in the box however and seller was fully understanding of situation send me return label and refunded promptly. Good seller
