Hex bits weather they are impact rated or just for hand use are produced to very strict tolerances therefore you only need a couple thousandths of clearance just for a little insurance. The holes should be exactly .252-.253 they measure almost .030 oversize. What the hell happened? Even Chinese/Taiwan bits are all machined exactly .250 or .001 under.
