During the interactive gameplay, you will find yourself fleeing the police while trying to discover what is causing people to commit such heinous crimes. After the opening sequence, Lucas's actions are entirely up to you as your every decision will affect future events for better or worse. With so many different outcomes, each replay will feel like a whole new game on your PlayStation 2.Created by acclaimed developer Quantic Dream, the same studio that brought gamers Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain, this 2005 title sets the tone for future interactive story-driven experiences in a video game. Featuring a detailed and well-written plot, gamers who immerse themselves in Indigo Prophecy (known outside the US as Fahrenheit) will find an engaging narrative with top-notch dialogue backed by superb voice acting and full motion-capture character models and animations.A truly cinematic gaming experience, Indigo Prophecy doesn't play like traditional third-person adventure games. You are brought through a murder mystery with dark and fantastic implications. Players will take control of one of three characters throughout their journey to uncover what is causing this brutal series of murders and ultimately discover how Lucas is involved before it's too late.Gameplay takes place from a third-person perspective, moving Lucas around the world and interacting with various objects, people, and locations. Quick-time events involving buttons on the controller or its joysticks dictate the outcome of events that occur in the game. NPCs can have their minds read by Lucas, with a short joystick quick-time event governing whether he is successful. After reading a character's mind, players will glean additional insight into which dialogue tree to pursue. Choices made within the game on how to progress the story will have a significant impact on what happens in Lucas' story and how the game eventually ends. A sanity bar is prominently shown, and each action can take the playable character closer to normal or deeper into a slowly dissolving world of madness. If this bar reaches zero, this means the player has lost his grip on reality and will be forced to restart at the last checkpoint.The game's mysterious dialogue was fully voice acted, helping players get into a truly immersive experience as they go about their dark tale. Music influences the game's ambiance in very real ways with an appropriately chilling score following the players around the unsettling quiet streets of New York. The game's main characters are all motion captured, bringing each scowl, attack, and shocking reaction to life in vibrant ways.Indigo Prophecy is all about telling a deep and well-crafted narrative that evokes a satisfying emotional reaction from its players.
