It works fantastically so far. This is my "spinnerbait" reel for Hawaii stream smallies. Mine throws a 1/8oz Beetlespin mainly. Spool is very light (7.2g). Some braking issues, but I think thats bc of the "zero adjust spool tension system" has in this reel. Pitches like a dream with heavier lures (1/8oz is perfect so far). Casts well at distance but would do better with a true spool tensioner system.
