Synopsis
In 75 essays, Evans supplies fascinating facts and raises questions about the mysteries of astronomy. Why is the night sky dark? How likely is it that meteors killed the dinosaurs? Since Halley's Comet orbits the wrong way around the sun, did it originate outside our solar system? He also encourages the reader to become involved in our cosmic backyard, pointing out that a telescope isn't necessary for most viewing - binoculars are adequate for most sights and are actually better for seeing meteors and some nebulae.

- 6***o (4)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaI absolutely love this store. The books I ordered were as described, wonderful condition and all imperfections were listed in the description. The packaging was out of this world. Each book was carefully wrapped in tissue paper, then further wrapped in bubble wrap. Additionally each book was stabilized by a carton and placed in the shipping box. There were some issues with shipping from the USPS side but the vendor called them and they arrived short after. The value was better than other vendors
- -***o (247)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaFair price, item just as described. Also, HANDS DOWN the BEST packing job I've ever seen from a book dealer. Product was packed the way an item from a factory floor might be packed: the book first wrapped in layers of tissue paper and bubble wrap, neatly sealed with tape, and then shrink-wrapped within new, clean, padded cardboard that was in turn surrounded by packing paper inside *another* new, clean box. I am VERY HAPPY with this purchase and HOPE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THE SELLER AGAIN.
- g***l (292)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaHoly cripes...This is probably the best wrapped book, or item in general, I have ever gotten from eBay. Book was wrapped in tissue paper, bubble wrap, stuck in a box, bubble wrapped, and then stuck in another box that was well taped. For a $20 book. The condition is in near perfect and the shipping was not only well packed, but quickly processed. Highly recommend this eBay seller! The History of Aircraft Nose Art: WW1 to Today By Jeffrey L.
