Limited translucent blue colored vinyl LP pressing includes digital download card with bonus tracks. Before Sam Amidon's acclaimed albums for Nonesuch Records and Bedroom Community, he'd released a few on his own. After a collection of traditional Irish instrumentals, Amidon (as samamidon) delivered his true "debut" But This Chicken Proved Falsehearted. Recorded in 2005 with longtime collaborator Thomas Bartlett (Mumford & Sons, Sufjan Stevens, The National, David Byrne), Vermont-born Amidon re-imagines traditional songs alongside covers as diverse as Mississippi John Hurt to Tears For Fears, and rearranges them into his own unique and mesmerizing compositions. Unavailable for years, original copies now sell for top dollar on the collectors market. Nearly a decade later, But This Chicken Proved Falsehearted finally receives the reissue it deserves.

    The two Items were nicely packaged and came exactly as shown in the pictures. Despite the items not shipping for a few days, I didn't mind waiting, as long it was showing that it was on the way, and it was shipped fast once it was updated. As a sucker for Great Courses material regarding the Roman Empire, this was a great find since finding transcripts are hard to find, and I'm glad I was able to find and buy these. Good seller nonetheless.

    The seller is easy to communicate with, item well packaged, and prompt shipping. The listing described the CD quality as Near Mint and the case as "intact, but shows some wear". However, one of the dimples on the cover arms has broken off. This causes the cover to separate from the back cover when opening the CD.
